Hmmm...should I or shouldn't I?

Journal Entry: Wed Oct 28, 2009, 9:02 PM

Paranormal Activity
I've been debating on going to see the movie. I need a really good movie to scare the bejesus out of me :XD: You see, I've nearly watched ever horror/scary/mind trick playing/goriest movies made and well...some of them just strike me as plain arse hilarious as ya know. :XD:

I mean...come on, not every single woman in the movie needs to act like a wimpy, lustful girlie girl, screaming at every shadow, gust of wind, or fleck of dust, or be the stereotypical "butch" that talks tough but winds up being one of the first to go. Nor do they all have to be a bunch of rebellious teenagers on some partying hiking/camping/making-out adventure in some desolate area where the authorities are portrayed as some dumb country hillbillies that never got an education. Which seems to be a common theme in many of the b-class horror flicks. :unimpressed:

And well...the continuous sequels just take away the appeal of certain movies, say for instance...SAW. Just how many times are the police going to find some discreet location, designed to be a murderous torture chamber with all sorts of devilish devices and mangled bodies strewn to and fro to rescue the key few that sit through the entire movie, wailing on and on about how they don't have any blooming idea of how to get out of the situation while some mechanical puppet laughs at & taunts them with cryptic clues to their own rescue.

Granted, the first one was an eye catcher...perfect; it got a few gasps and look aways out of me the first time I saw it. After that, it didn't really strike me in the same way. Two was ok...three, four, five...well...I couldn't stop laughing as I was thinking it was getting just as bad as the Michael Meyers, Jason, and Freddie Krueger movies, and I've just rather not go see six.:pointandlaugh:

But I digress, back to Paranormal Activity. :hmm:
Has anyone seen it?
Is it as frighteningly and terrifyingly good as they claim it is?
For instance, if I do venture into a movie theater and see it, will it cause me to leave fingernail impressions in the plastic armrest/cup-holders? Or is this one to leave to watch on DVD?

Inspiration

Journal Entry: Fri Sep 11, 2009, 7:18 PM

Yeppers
Where does my inspiration come from some may ask? Well, mostly music. When Arannana's images come to me, it's probably due to this song: I don't wanna Stop-Ozzy Ozbourne [link] The first time I heard it, all I could see was Arannana in my mind :XD:
When Metallica's Welcome Home [link] plays, Ryldirihc comes to mind.

But normally just random songs on the radio will evoke the imagery in my mind, like little music videos involving my characters. These two songs always bring out Arannana and Ryldirihc each time I hear them.

Sometimes, random insignificant events, like seeing a pair of birds chase each other around a tree, will also whirl up some sort of imagery.

Computer Wooo hooo

Journal Entry: Mon Aug 3, 2009, 6:09 PM

It's so cute!
:XD: The new computer is here & it's so adorable looking. Nice large screen and the tower is a mini. I didn't think I would like the white casing...but with the soft alien green light, it's cute.
Now just have to bump up memory, make sure the Nvidia card is a decent gc, and reinstall everything :faint: and I'll be back to rendering. And OMG...this screen, the clarity is awesome.

Other News
Well...I really have to cut back on my online activities. Something is wrong with my computer as it will completely black out on me, forcing me to manually shut it down. So even though I was saving up to have a new custom built computer...looks like I have to go and buy a new CPU. Until then, I'll have to nurse this poor thing with an external fan to keep it cool. As I do feel some cozy warm air emanating from it now. (And if I can get the dang BIOS to come up like it's supposed to, I can check how hot it's running, but after several unsuccessful attempts at trying to figure out which is the friggen right key to tap, I give up and concede to a buying a new CPU).:(
I first thought it was because the computer was throwing a hissy fit because of Poser...as that's when it usually occurred; given the fact that I could render in DS without any problems, but now it's gotten to the point that just even being online basically doing nothing for a small length of time will cause it to black out. :(
Just gonna have to get a generic CPU. Gawd and it's gonna have that nasty VISTA on it. I want my XP!!! Dang Microsoft. This just pisses me off because I so wanted my custom built one first. But ah well...such is life. The custom one will have to wait for a little longer.
Now...it's just backing up. Oh geesh...that's gonna take forever and with the way this thing is acting...I'll be lucky if it doesn't black out while backing up crucial files.
*stomps feet & bangs head* Oi...I wish I had like a million dollars...then I can just go and buy everything at one time :XD:

Oh well...guess my PS2 will be getting my attention for a while. It misses me. :XD:
Don't worry...I'll be back...when, I don't know. But as soon as I can, I'll fix this little problem of mine.Well...here's my new addiction  [link]

What a sad, sad week

Journal Entry: Thu Jun 25, 2009, 4:54 PM

New News
Well, sort of knew ol' Ed McMahon was going to pass away; and knew Farrah Fawcett would loose her battle at some point in time. It was so sad that Ryan O'Neil didn't get his chance to actually marry her on paper and that her son, Red, wasn't there for the final moments. My heart goes out to her family.

But the shocker was... Michael Jackson. Sure the man was eccentric...and he did look sickly most of the time...but I wasn't expecting to hear of his passing so soon. That was just a complete shock. It was only a few days ago that, after watching ET about Farrah, I had said to my husband how it was odd how MJ disappeared out of the spotlight.:(

Oh I know that some of you out there weren't really MJ fans; but he was iconic. Despite his bizarre eccentricities, Michael Jackson was a very talented artist.

But geesh, three legacies in one week.

Old News
Nope, not in a slump Nope, not at all. I'm currently working on an image...well it's still in the pre part stage as I'm making a specific texture for the outfit Ryld will be wearing. The pants were easy as there was no embellishment to put on those, except for a button. I'm working on the vest...then I have a sash/belt, boots & shirt to do. What taking so long is trying to figure out how to place certain embellishments on the vest & sash.

(Eh, what can I say...I like the M4 Pirate outfit because of certain, err...um, attributes it allows to morph in the clothing...just don't want him looking all that piratey.)
And sorry, no..I won't be releasing the texture. It's all Ryldirihc's :XD: Got to do something special for my little Drow boy.

And in between working on that, I'm writing...hopefully will have the next installment of L'Renor Elemmiire Sapphir' up soon.

Then there's Pogo. :blushes: Their Hog Heaven Slots has me wandering in just so I can poke some little piggies. :XD: And this week it's one of the badge challenges.
:shakefish: @ :iconspiritstealer: lol

So bear with me...something new will appear in my gallery sometime soon.

Ahhh, it feels so good to get my Daz PC back. It's like slipping into a pair of comfy jeans. And how I sure did miss it. My poor runtime was feeling neglected. And now that I got it back, Ryldirihc will be getting a new hairstyle. Not that I don't like the Amante hair...just noticed it's a bit too stiff looking for the look I had envisioned for him.

Anyhoo...I think I figured out how to get renders done while online; I'm still going to have a computer custom built...but at least now I can get out some new scenes &
images.:w00t!:

:pride: :new:Check 'em out :new:
I want to take a moment and make a request. Many 3Ders know of and probably have used some of the items made by :iconblazerwiccan: . Well, right now, like most of us, she's going through some very hard times and needs our help. So if you can spare the time, give a looksie through her available prints: [link]
There are some gorgeous pictures available, like this one:
